FCB Nyasa Big Bullets has received five nominations at the inaugural Football Association of Malawi (FAM) Awards.
The prestigious award ceremony, the first to be hosted by FAM, is slated for February 21st at Mount Soche Hotel in Blantyre where outstanding performers will be rewarded for their work in the 2024 season.
Nickson Nyasulu, who left the club last month following the expiry of his contract, was nominated for the Men’s Best Defender award while Babatunde Adepoju was nominated for the Men’s Attackers and Men’s Player of the Season awards.
The midfield duo of Lloyd Aaron and Yankho Singo are among the players who have been nominated for the Men’s Midfielder of the Year award.
Apart from the players, the club’s former head coach, Kalisto Pasuwa, and his successor, Peter Mponda, have also been shortlisted for the Coach of the Season award.
Mponda won the TNM Super League with Silver Strikers while Pasuwa retained the Airtel Top 8 Cup with The People’s Team. They will both face Blue Eagles’ Eliya Kananji for the accolade.
