Peter Mponda has announced his starting eleven for this afternoon’s TNM Super League clash against Blue Eagles at Kamuzu Stadium, with Paul Master set to make his debut in the competition.
Coming from last weekend’s dramatic Airtel Top 8 Cup final triumph, Mponda has made a few notable adjustments to his side as The People’s Team resume their league campaign in front of home fans.
Goalkeeper Innocent Nyasulu, who was the hero during the penalty shootout that secured Bullets’ fourth Airtel Top 8 title, maintains his position between the posts.
In front of him, Mponda sticks with a back three of Blessings Mpokera, Andrew Jovinala, and Dominic Musonda. The Zambian left-back is set for his second consecutive start after impressing in the final against Silver Strikers.
Frank Willard, who captains the side, will anchor the midfield in the absence of former skipper Lloyd Aaron, who left the club on Wednesday to join Qatari side Muaither SC.
Making his first TNM Super League appearance is Paul Master, stepping into the starting eleven following the reshuffle at the heart of midfield.
Further up the pitch, Peter Banda returns to the starting lineup alongside Wongani Lungu and Chikumbutso Salima, both of whom retain their places after strong showings in recent fixtures.
Up front, Ephraim Kondowe is handed his first league start of the season as Mponda continues to rotate his attacking options.
