Mhone named Reserves HTD Player of the Month for July

Kondwani Mhone has been voted the FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Reserves HTD Player of the Month for July, following a series of standout performances pivotal to the team’s campaign in the ThumbsUp Southern Region Football League.

Chosen by both his teammates and the technical staff, the 18-year-old midfielder impressed with his consistency, creativity, and composure at the heart of midfield, making him the clear recipient of the accolade.

Mhone featured in all three matches played by Heston Munthali’s side in July, expertly controlling the tempo and acting as a vital link between defense and attack. His vision and passing range were on full display, most notably when he delivered a defense-splitting assist to Oscar Petro’s opener in the 3-0 victory over FC Thondwe.

Despite mixed results for the month—one win, one draw, and one loss—Mhone’s influence was undeniable. He consistently dictated play, maintained control under pressure, and propelled the team forward with intelligence and high work rate.

Currently positioned third with 27 points following a 2-0 defeat to Mighty Wanderers Reserves on Monday, the Bullets Reserves remain determined to narrow the gap at the top. With Mhone maintaining excellent form, the midfield maestro will play a crucial role in the team’s pursuit of the top spot this August.
