FCB Nyasa Big Bullets have announced a 26-man travelling squad for Sunday’s FDH Bank Cup Round of 32 showdown against Chilumba Barracks at Chitipa Stadium — marking our first-ever fixture in Malawi’s northernmost district.
The clash will be a historic occasion as it not only marks The People’s Team’s debut at the newly licensed Chitipa Stadium, but also the first time the two sides have met in any competition.
Debut Watch: Banda and Munthali in the Squad
The squad includes new signings Khumbo Banda and Bright Munthali, both eager to feature for the first time in red and white.
For Munthali, this could be a special homecoming — the forward returns to Bullets three years after leaving in 2022, bringing additional firepower and experience to the attack. Banda, meanwhile, adds depth to the backline and will be aiming to impress on his maiden outing.
Also back in contention are Andrew Jovinala, who missed our home match against his former club Blue Eagles due to injury, and Blessings Mponera, who picked up a knock in the same fixture. Both have recovered and are part of the travelling group heading north.

Since the competition’s inception in 2021, Bullets have been a dominant force — reaching three finals and lifting the trophy twice.
Last season, our campaign ended in heartbreak as we lost 3-2 on penalties to Blue Eagles in the final after a goalless 90 minutes. Overall, The People’s Team have won 16 FDH Bank Cup matches, scoring 48 goals and conceding just 12.
