FCB Nyasa Big Bullets will be back on the road to the North for two away fixtures

Fixture Update: Bullets set for Northern league double

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets’ next two TNM Super League fixtures have been confirmed, following another revised schedule announced by the Super League of Malawi on Monday.

The People’s Team are set for another crucial away stretch in the Northern Region as the 2024 campaign enters its decisive phase.

Trip to Chitipa

Bullets will travel to the Northern border district of Chitipa this Saturday to face Karonga United, a week after returning from another long trip from the Central Region.

This will be our second trip to Chitipa this season, having first travelled there in August for back-to-back fixtures. During that visit, Maule claimed a 5-0 victory over Chirumba Barracks in the FDH Bank Cup before defeating Chitipa United 2-0 in the TNM Super League.

Saturday’s encounter carries added significance. Karonga United will use Chitipa Stadium instead of their usual home ground, facing The People’s Team in Chitipa for the first time since the stadium opened earlier this year.

After the 2-0 defeat to Creck Sporting Club in Mchinji — our first-ever loss to the Lilongwe-based side since their promotion to the elite league last year — Bullets will be eager to bounce back and assert their authority in the Northern Region.

Midweek in Mzuzu

Following the Karonga tie, Peter Mponda’s men will remain in the North, travelling to Mzuzu for a midweek showdown with Moyale Barracks on Wednesday, 11 December.

This will be our final league match in the North this season, adding extra weight to an already demanding run-in.

What These Fixtures Mean

The two Northern Region matches represent another defining stretch in Bullets’ chase for the title.

With margins extremely tight at the top, consistency and resilience will be key as The People’s Team pushes to finish the campaign strongly.

What’s Next

Back in Blantyre, the squad has begun intensive preparations, focusing on recovery and tactical readiness ahead of the Northern double.
