Carolyne Mulenzo and Vanessa Issa have been named in the Malawi Under-20 Women’s National Team squad for their FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifier against Guinea-Bissau.
Head coach Maggie Chombo, who also manages FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Women, has included the duo in her 20-player squad for the trip to West Africa.
Malawi will face the Djurtus in the first leg on 7 February in Bissau, before hosting the return leg at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe on 14 February.
Three Bullets players were initially part of Chombo’s 27-member provisional squad, but defender Effa Msukwa did not make the final selection.
The fixtures form part of the third round of Africa’s qualification pathway for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Poland 2026.
The top 16 teams from this round will advance to the final stage, which will determine Africa’s four representatives at the tournament scheduled from 5 to 27 September 2026.
