Ticketing Details for Bullets vs Mzuzu City Castel Semifinal

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets will host Mzuzu City Hammers at Kamuzu Stadium on Sunday in a high-stakes Castel Challenge Cup semifinal, with a place in the final on the line.

Gilbert Chirwa’s men come into the match on the back of a 2–0 quarterfinal win over Mighty Tigers, courtesy of a Maxwell Phodo brace. They will be aiming to extend their impressive cup run in front of home supporters.

The People’s Team is chasing a second trophy of the campaign after lifting the Airtel Top 8 and will aim to reclaim the Castel Challenge Cup, which they last won in 2023 during a historic quadruple-winning season.

Ticketing Information

Supporters are advised that, as was the case in the quarterfinal, there will be no advance ticket sales for this fixture. All tickets will be sold on matchday at Kamuzu Stadium.

Ticket prices are K5,000 for Open Stands, K7,000 for MBC Stand, K10,000 for Covered Stands, and K15,000 for VIP Stand.

Gates will open at 10:00 a.m., giving supporters time to purchase tickets and take their seats ahead of kickoff. Fans are encouraged to arrive early, as a large crowd is expected for this crucial semifinal encounter.

Under-19 Curtain Raiser

Gates will also open early to allow supporters to watch the curtain raiser, with Bullets Under-19 set to face Nyambadwe in the FCB Katswiri Under-19 Blantyre District Youth Football League from 9:30 a.m.

Yamikani Fodya’s young Bullets sit second on the table with 56 points, five behind leaders Mighty Wanderers Youth. They head into the fixture following a 3–1 win over third-placed Ekhaya Youth and will be looking to close the gap at the top of the standings.

Mzuzu City Path to Semifinals

Hammers advanced to the semifinals after defeating Mighty Wanderers 5–3 on penalties following a 1–1 draw. The TNM Super League champions took the lead in the 50th minute from the penalty spot, but Mzuzu City equalised in stoppage time, forcing a shootout in which they emerged victorious.

Semifinal History & Other Fixture

Sunday’s semifinal will be a repeat of the 2024 tie between Bullets and Mzuzu City Hammers. In that match, the Northern side advanced 5–2 on penalties before losing to Mighty Wanderers in the final.

In the other Castel Challenge Cup semifinal, Goshen City Dedza Dynamos will face Blue Eagles at Kamuzu Stadium, with the match scheduled 24 hours before the Bullets vs Mzuzu City fixture.
