FCB Nyasa Big Bullets will return to FDH Bank Premiership action on Sunday when we travel to Lilongwe to face Kamuzu Barracks at Civo Stadium.
The Super League of Malawi confirmed the fixture on Monday following an adjustment to the league calendar after our match against Moyale Barracks, originally scheduled for 21 June, was played in advance on 31 May during the FIFA international break.
Sunday’s 14:30 kick-off marks an immediate return to league duties for The People’s Team following Saturday night’s 1-1 draw against Ekhaya FC in the first leg of the Airtel Top 8 quarterfinal at Bingu National Stadium.
Sunday’s contest will also mark Wedson Nyirenda’s first FDH Bank Premiership match in charge since taking over as Bullets head coach last week.
Having drawn our last four league matches, Bullets will be aiming to return to winning ways as we continue our pursuit of the FDH Bank Premiership title. The 17-time champions currently occupy sixth place in the standings with 10 points from six matches.
The visit to Civo Stadium will be our second appearance at the venue this season following the 1-1 draw against Blue Eagles in May.
Meetings between Bullets and Kamuzu Barracks have regularly produced fiercely contested battles, setting the stage for another intriguing contest in the capital.
Additional information, including ticket details and match officials, will be communicated through our official platforms in due course.
