Match Officials: Bullets vs Masters

The officiating team for FCB Nyasa Big Bullets’ FDH Bank Premiership fixture against Masters FC has been appointed.

Mwayi Msungama will oversee Saturday’s encounter as The People’s Team return to league action looking to build on last weekend’s victory over Kamuzu Barracks.

Maule head into the fixture unbeaten after seven matches and sitting fourth in the standings with 13 points.

Having claimed maximum points in Lilongwe last time out, Bullets will be looking to build on that result against Masters.

Mwayi Msungama, Referee

Blantyre-based referee and legal practitioner Mwayi Msungama will take charge of the FDH Bank Premiership encounter between Bullets and Masters.

Msungama has officiated several Bullets matches over the years. The experienced referee has also been entrusted with some of Malawi’s biggest domestic fixtures.

His most recent involvement in a Bullets match came on 31 January when The People’s Team defeated Mighty Tigers 2-0 at Kamuzu Stadium to secure a place in the Castel Challenge Cup semi-finals, where he served as fourth official.

Prior to that, Msungama was in charge of Bullets’ final match of the 2025 TNM Super League season, a 4-0 victory over Mzuzu City Hammers at Kamuzu Stadium on 27 December.

Happiness Mbandambanda, Assistant Referee 1

Happiness Mbandambanda will serve as the first assistant referee for Saturday’s fixture.

The assistant referee last officiated a Bullets match on 31 May when The People’s Team drew 1-1 with Moyale Barracks in Mwanza.

Saturday’s encounter will be Mbandambanda’s second Bullets appointment of the 2026 season.

Mphatso Mmangisa, Assistant Referee 2

Mphatso Mmangisa has been appointed as the second assistant referee for Saturday’s match.

Mmangisa was also involved in Bullets’ fourth FDH Bank Premiership fixture of the 2026 season, serving as second assistant referee when The People’s Team played out a goalless draw against Red Lions at Joyce Chitsulo Stadium.

Earlier this year, Mmangisa was part of the officiating team for Bullets’ 3-1 victory over Ndirande Stars in the Round of 16 of the Castel Challenge Cup.

Marko Dzimbasekwa, Fourth Official

Marko Dzimbasekwa has been appointed as the fourth official for Saturday’s fixture.

Dzimbasekwa’s most recent involvement in a Bullets match came in July 2025 when he served as fourth official during The People’s Team’s TNM Super League encounter against Blue Eagles at Kamuzu Stadium.

Blue Eagles edged the contest 1-0 on the day.

Fanny Minandi, Match Assessor

Fanny Minandi has been assigned as the match assessor for Saturday’s fixture.

Minandi was also involved in Bullets’ goalless FDH Bank Premiership draw against Red Lions at Joyce Chitsulo Stadium earlier this season.

That assignment marked her first involvement in a Bullets match during the 2026 campaign.
