Mologeni named FDH Bank Premiership’s best for June

The wing-back has earned league recognition after starring in both of FCB Nyasa Big Bullets’ victories during June.

Yamikani Mologeni has been named the FDH Bank Premiership Player of the Month for June following an impressive run of performances for The People’s Team.

The 23-year-old played an influential role as Bullets collected maximum points from their two league assignments, recording a 2-1 victory away to Kamuzu Barracks at Civo Stadium before beating Masters FC 1-0 at Mpira Stadium.

Mologeni delivered assured performances on the right flank, earning the Player of the Match award in both encounters while also contributing an assist.

His form underlined the early praise he received from head coach Wedson Nyirenda, who described him as “a big machine and a big player” shortly after taking charge in June.

The defender has made 10 appearances across all competitions for Bullets so far this season, establishing himself as a regular member of Nyirenda’s side.

Mologeni finished ahead of Civil Service United’s Righteous Banda and Silver Strikers’ Innocent Shema in the race for the award.
