Six FCB Nyasa Big Bullets players have been named in Malawi’s final 26-member U20 COSAFA squad for the qualifiers for the 2027 CAF Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Mozambique.
Prince Chiumia, Kondwani Tebulo, Felix Jalasi, Madalitso Safuli, Misheck Billiat and Clever Kalambo have all made Enos Chatama’s final selection for the regional qualifiers.
The six are among the eight Bullets players who initially earned provisional call-ups, with Cliford Chisale and Maxwell Sidreck missing out on the final selection.
The Junior Flames travelled to Mozambique on Wednesday ahead of the tournament, which runs from September 18 to 27.
Malawi have been drawn in Group C alongside Zambia, Botswana and Comoros, opening their campaign against Zambia on Friday, September 18.
They will then face Botswana on September 21 before completing the group stage against Comoros on September 23.
The COSAFA qualifiers will determine the region’s representatives at the 2027 CAF Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations, with Malawi seeking a place at the continental finals.
