The midfielder has completed his recovery from a knee injury sustained two months ago and is in contention for Sunday’s final mid-season friendly.
Paul Master is back in contention for FCB Nyasa Big Bullets’ meeting with Extreme FC at Aubrey Dimba Stadium in Mchinji on Sunday.
The midfielder sustained the knee injury during a training session two months ago, ruling him out for much of the first round.
After completing his rehabilitation programme, Master has now returned to full training and is back in the squad picture ahead of Sunday’s fixture.
Head coach Wedson Nyirenda will determine the midfielder’s involvement against Extreme FC as Bullets fine-tune their preparations for the second round of the FDH Bank Premiership.
The People’s Team are in Mchinji for their second mid-season friendly following last weekend’s 2-0 victory over Changalume Barracks at Zomba Stadium, where Willard Frank and Wongani Lungu found the net.
Sunday’s fixture offers another competitive test for Nyirenda’s squad, with Extreme FC currently second in the NBS Bank National Division League.
It will also provide another opportunity for the technical staff to assess the squad’s depth, manage minutes and continue integrating new signings Alihaji Mnjale, Sheku Sheriff and Tinaye Tsimba.
For Master, the fixture could mark an important step towards a return to match action after two months on the sidelines.
His comeback also adds an interesting subplot ahead of the league restart, when Bullets host his former side Blue Eagles at Mpira Stadium on 11 October.
The sides drew 1-1 in Lilongwe in their first-round meeting, with the upcoming encounter giving Master his second opportunity to face his former club since moving to Blantyre.
