FCB Nyasa Big Bullets have named the starting XI for this afternoon’s FDH Bank Premiership second-round opener against Blue Eagles at Mpira Stadium.
The People’s Team return to competitive action after a five-week midseason break on 30 points, one behind Blue Eagles, with victory taking them to the summit on 33, one ahead of Mighty Wanderers.
Innocent Nyasulu starts in goal, with Yamikani Mologeni, captain Blessings Mpokera and Emmanuel Kaunga forming the defensive line, while Prince Chiumia starts as the left wingback.
Wedson Nyirenda makes two changes to the side that defeated Silver Strikers 5-0 in the final fixture of the first round, with Chiumia and Frank Willard replacing Kondwani Tebulo and Yankho Singo, who both move to the bench.
Chiumia returns after missing the Silver Strikers encounter through suspension, while Willard joins Chawanangwa Gumbo and Wongani Lungu in midfield. Clever Kalambo and Misheck Billiat will support Ephraim Kondowe in attack.
Paul Master returns to the matchday squad following his recovery from a knee injury, while new signings Alihaji Mnjale, Sheku Sheriff and Tinaye Tsimba are also among the substitutes as they await their competitive debuts.
