Chawanangwa Gumbo, Ephraim Kondowe and Yankho Singo in Flames final squad for Four Nations Tournament in Botwsawana

Bullets trio make Flames final squad

Three FCB Nyasa Big Bullets players have been named in the Malawi national team’s final squad for the upcoming Four Nations tournament in Botswana.

Midfielders Chawanangwa Gumbo and Yankho Singo, along with forward Ephraim Kondowe, have been included in the squad announced on Tuesday by Flames head coach Kalisto Pasuwa.

The trio were part of the provisional squad that entered camp earlier this month and have now secured places in the final travelling squad for the regional competition.

Defender Blessings Mpokera, who was also part of the provisional squad, withdrew from camp due to injury after reporting with a minor ankle issue.

The Four Nations tournament will take place in Botswana, where Malawi will face Zambia, hosts Botswana and Zimbabwe. It coincides with the first FIFA international break of 2026.

Singo continues his involvement with the national team after establishing himself as a regular under Pasuwa, while Gumbo also returns to the squad following his recent appearances for the Flames.

Kondowe, meanwhile, keeps his place after earning a recall earlier this month as the forward continues to build his presence in the national team setup.

The squad includes a mix of locally based and foreign-based players as Malawi continue preparations for upcoming international assignments.
