Chilipa seals permanent return to Bullets

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets can confirm that Aaron Chilipa has completed a permanent transfer to The People’s Team following the conclusion of his one-year loan spell from Creck Sporting Club.

The left-back rejoined The People’s Team last year after a stint away, having previously risen through our Reserves side before his departure in 2023. His loan agreement with Creck included an option to make the move permanent.

The 26-year-old has now committed his future to the club, putting pen to paper on a three-year deal that will keep him at Bullets until 2029.

Speaking after completing his move, Chilipa expressed his delight to continue his journey with The People’s Team.

“I am very happy to be staying at Bullets. This is a big club and it always feels special to wear this badge,” he said.

“I am grateful for the trust the club has shown in me and I am ready to give my all for the team and our supporters.”

Chilipa first joined the club in 2022 from Ndirande All Stars before departing a year later to link up with Bangwe All Stars.

After a brief spell there, he secured a move to Creck Sporting Club in 2024.

He made ten appearances in all competitions after rejoining the club last season, with his campaign disrupted by an injury sustained during the course of the season.

The defender believes he has unfinished business and is eager to make an impact in the upcoming campaign.

“I want to keep improving and help the team achieve its goals this season. As players, we know what this club demands and we are ready for the challenge,” he added.

The permanent move reflects the club’s confidence in Chilipa’s qualities as The People’s Team continue to strengthen the squad ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Bullets are currently in pre-season preparations as they build up to the new campaign, which kicks off with the Charity Shield clash against rivals Mighty Wanderers at the Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe on April 18.

The Charity Shield fixture will be followed by the opening match of the FDH Bank Premiership season away to Civil Service United on April 25.
