FCB Nyasa Big Bullets return to TNM Super League action this Sunday with a crucial home fixture against Civil Service United at Kamuzu Stadium, and early indications from the dressing room show a largely fit squad gearing up for the contest.
The People’s Team are looking to restart their campaign on a strong note following the international break, having regrouped after a challenging run of results leading into the break.
Assistant coach Gilbert Chirwa, speaking to Bullets Media in Blantyre on Friday, confirmed a positive outlook on player availability as preparations for Sunday intensify.
Four Flames Players Back in Camp
Bullets welcomed back Babatunde Adepoju, Blessings Mpokera, Chikumbutso Salima, and Yankho Singo after their involvement with the Malawi National Football Team in two international friendly fixtures against Lesotho in South Africa.
The quartet has rejoined full training and is available for selection, with Chirwa noting their sharpness and readiness ahead of the fixture.
One Player Ruled Out
The only absentee is defender Aaron Chilipa, who picked up a knee injury in training just before the international break. Chilipa is continuing his recovery and will not feature this weekend.
Apart from him, the entire squad has been cleared and is competing for places ahead of the Civil encounter.
Squad in Good Shape Ahead of Return to Action
According to the technical team, the break has allowed the squad to recharge and refine specific elements of play, particularly in the attacking phase, as Bullets aim to turn dominance into goals after three straight matches without finding the net.
With the title race heating up and Bullets sitting second on the standings—one point behind leaders Mighty Wanderers—Sunday’s fixture presents a valuable opportunity for The People’s Team to reignite their push at the top.
