FCB Nyasa Big Bullets will kick off the 2025 FDH Bank Cup campaign with a historic journey to the far north when they face Chilumba Barracks in the Round of 32 on Sunday, 17 August.
The Football Association of Malawi has confirmed that the tie will be played at Chitipa Stadium, marking our first-ever competitive fixture in Chitipa District.
This clash will open another chapter in our quest to reclaim the FDH Bank Cup — a trophy we last lifted in 2023 as part of our quadruple-winning season.
In 2024, The People’s Team reached the final but narrowly missed out on back-to-back titles, finishing as runners-up to Blue Eagles.
Chilumba Barracks, who are competing in the inaugural NBS Bank National Division League, booked their spot in the national phase of the FDH Bank Cup through the preliminary rounds. They will be eager to make the most of home advantage.
For Bullets, the long trip to Chitipa will not only be a logistical test but also a chance to connect with our passionate supporters in Malawi’s northernmost district.
The FDH Bank Cup is Malawi’s most lucrative knockout competition, giving lower-league clubs a platform to challenge the country’s top-flight sides.
The unpredictability of cup football means The People’s Team will be leaving nothing to chance in preparation for the encounter.
