Pasuwa: We need to start winning

Kalisto Pasuwa admits that FCB Nyasa Big Bullets must catch up and do better following our bad start to the season.

On Saturday, The People’s Team shared the spoils with Kamuzu Barracks after a goalless stalemate at Civo Stadium to record a seventh draw of the 2024 TNM Super League campaign.

Out of 11 games, Bullets have only won three and lost one, accumulating 16 points that have left us in fifth position in the table.

The defending champions, who last won a match on 18 May, have scored only 11 goals while conceding six.

Pasuwa believes his players are psychologically down as they continue firing blanks despite creating numerous chances.

“If you can see today [against Kamuzu Barracks], it was us who created plenty of chances but it ended 0-0 and the only thing I can do at the moment is to talk to the boys who are now psychologically down because of how we are missing chances despite playing well and the best result we are getting is a draw.

“It’s very frustrating to them and the supporters. We need to go back to the drawing board because we are creating chances but we can’t convert them. Look at where Babatunde missed. It only needed a touch but he missed. So, like I said, we need to tell them that we can create and we can score.

“We need to start winning. People may say we have been travelling a lot but that’s not good enough, we need to start winning because we can’t just be drawing matches. It’s bad and not acceptable,” the 2023 quadruple-winning coach reacted after Saturday’s result.

Bullets will have to be at their best in our next match as Bangwe All Stars await to face us in the knockout tie in the FDH Bank Cup Round of 32 at Kamuzu Stadium next Sunday.
