FCB Nyasa Big Bullets head coach Wedson Nyirenda has confirmed that midfielders Paul Master and Madalitso Safuli will miss Monday’s FDH Bank Premiership fixture against Masters FC at Mpira Stadium.
Speaking during Thursday’s pre-match press conference, Nyirenda revealed that Master sustained the injury in training on Wednesday before being ruled out following medical assessment, while Safuli will also miss the Matchweek 8 encounter.
“We have some knocks. Unfortunately, we’ve lost Paul Master.
“He picked up a knock in training yesterday and underwent X-rays today. The doctors have ruled him out of this game.
“Madalitso Safuli has also been ruled out. The rest of the players are okay and looking forward to the match,” said Nyirenda.
Master has been one of Bullets’ ever-present players this season, starting each of the club’s opening eight matches across all competitions.
The midfielder’s absence leaves The People’s Team without one of their most consistent performers. However, Nyirenda will have the remainder of his squad available for selection ahead of Monday’s fixture.
Maule will be looking to extend their unbeaten start to the FDH Bank Premiership campaign when they host Masters FC at Mpira Stadium on Monday.
