Inside Bullets: What’s In Store This Week

The Maule action continues this week as FCB Nyasa Big Bullets’ First Team, Under-19s, Women’s side, and Reserves all gear up for massive matches across various competitions. From league derbies to away challenges and first-round finales, here’s what’s lined up for The People’s Team across all fronts.

First Team Wraps Up Round 1 at Home

The senior team will be looking to close out the first round of the 2025 TNM Super League season on a high as we host Karonga United at Kamuzu Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Fresh from back-to-back wins against Mzuzu City Hammers and Mafco FC, The People’s Team will aim to maintain momentum in the race at the top of the table. With the title push heating up, the weekend’s final fixture of the first round carries added weight as Bullets look to keep the pressure on the league leaders.

Coach Peter Mponda will address the media in a pre-match press conference scheduled for Thursday at 11:00 AM at Bullets HQ.

Kick-off for Sunday’s encounter is at 14:30 CAT.

U19s Return to Action at Kamuzu

Our Under-19s are also back in action this weekend in the Blantyre District Youth Football League and will face Griffin Young Stars on Sunday morning at Kamuzu Stadium.

After their convincing 3-0 win over Ntopwa last weekend, the young Maule boys will aim to build on that performance and continue climbing the youth league table. The fixture is scheduled to kick off at 09:30 CAT—setting the tone for a Super Sunday double-header at home.

Women’s Team Hit The Road

The Maule Ladies travel to the Central Region this weekend for their next NBM Women’s Premiership fixture. FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Women will take on MDF Lionesses at Champions Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Coach Maggie Chombo’s side heads into this fixture with confidence after registering a statement 3-0 win over MK Academy last Sunday, with Vanessa Issa scoring a brace and Mary Chavinda also getting on the scoresheet.

Kick-off is at 14:30 CAT.

Reserve Team Gears Up for Derby Clash

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Reserves will be back in action on Monday afternoon in one of the most anticipated fixtures of the 2025 ThumbsUp Southern Region Football League, as they take on rivals Mighty Wanderers Reserves at Mpira Stadium.

After a break over the weekend, Heston Munthali’s charges now shift their focus to the Blantyre derby as they aim to return to winning ways following a narrow 1-0 defeat to Chilobwe United on 27 July.

Monday’s match presents an opportunity for the young Maule to bounce back in style, with everything to play for in this fiercely contested local rivalry.

Kick-off for the reserve derby is set for 14:30 CAT.
