Mafco vs Bullets game postponed

Our away fixture against Mafco in the TNM Super League will not be staged on Wednesday.

Bullets were scheduled to play the Salima side on April 30 at Champions Stadium in Mponela, however, a new date for the encounter will be fixed.

On Monday, the Super League of Malawi announced Week 5 fixtures, with our next game not appearing on the schedule, which indicates all matches will be played on Sunday, May 4.

The change is due to the national team’s engagement in the TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship 2024 qualifiers.

Malawi will host South Africa at the Bingu National Stadium on Saturday, May 3, before traveling for the away fixture in Pretoria on May 11, a weekend Bullets were scheduled to travel to Dedza for another league game against Premier Bet Dedza Dynamos.

The People’s Team has seven players in the national squad that reported for camp this morning gearing up for the back-to-back CHAN games.

Richard Chimbamba, Andrew Jovinala, Lloyd Aaron, Yankho Singo, Chikumbutso Salima, Wongani Lungu and Chawanangwa Gumbo are the Bullets stars named in Kalisto Pasuwa’s 25-man squad.

Bullets top the 2025 TNM Super League standings with nine points from the three games played so far, scoring 12 goals and letting in only one.

Over the weekend, Peter Mponda’s men reached the semifinals of the Airtel Top 8 following a 1-0 triumph, on aggregate, in a two-legged quarterfinal clash against Creck Sporting Club.
