Masters next as Bullets return to Bingu for 15:00 kick-off

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets face Masters FC at Bingu National Stadium on Sunday as we look to make it four wins from four in the FDH Bank Premiership second round.

The Matchweek 19 encounter kicks off at 15:00, with the People’s Team heading back to the capital city after Saturday’s 1-0 victory over Civil Service United at Mpira Stadium.

Paul Master came off the bench to score the decisive goal in the 83rd minute, securing a hard-earned three points for Wedson Nyirenda’s side.

The win took Bullets to 39 points from 18 matches, three clear of Mighty Wanderers at the top of the standings.

Having beaten Blue Eagles 2-0 at Mpira and MAFCO 3-0 at Civo Stadium, we have scored six goals without reply since the second round began.

Saturday’s result also extended our unbeaten league run to seven matches, all without conceding. We have now conceded just seven goals in 18 league games this season.

Sunday’s fixture will be our fifth league match in Lilongwe this campaign, with three wins and a draw from the previous four.

Masters sit fifth with 26 points from 18 matches, having recorded seven wins, five draws and six defeats.

The sides last met at Mpira Stadium in June, when Ephraim Kondowe’s 54th-minute penalty secured a 1-0 victory for Bullets.

That result preserved Nyirenda’s unbeaten start as head coach and lifted The People’s Team to third in the standings.

Bullets will now be looking to complete a league double over Masters and make it four successive victories in the second round.

Further build-up to Sunday’s encounter, including team news, opposition analysis, match officials and the full match preview, will be available throughout the week on the club’s official platforms.
