SULOM has unveiled the Matchweek 10 fixtures, signaling the return of TNM Super League action this weekend.
The league was on a week-long pause to accommodate the FIFA international match window, which wraps up on Tuesday.
This FIFA window overlapped with the 2025 Hollywoodbets COSAFA Senior Challenge Cup in South Africa, where Malawi have been competing. The tournament kicked off on June 4 and is set to conclude on June 15.
On Monday, the Super League of Malawi announced the Week 10 fixtures, seemingly prepared for the possibility that the Flames could make an early exit from South Africa.
After playing two of their three group matches, Malawi finds itself at the bottom of Group B with just one point, following a 1-0 defeat to Lesotho and a scoreless draw against Namibia.
To advance to the tournament’s next stage, Kalisto Pasuwa’s squad must overcome group leaders Angola tomorrow with at least a 5-0 victory, while hoping for a draw between second and third-placed Lesotho and Namibia—a scenario that could see SULOM adjusting the weekend’s fixture list.
However, if Malawi does not produce the required result, the national team will return home this week and the Week 10 SULOM fixtures will proceed as originally scheduled.
League leaders FCB Nyasa Big Bullets and second-placed Mighty Wanderers have both contributed more than three players each to the Flames for the COSAFA tournament.
Both clubs are set to make their league returns this weekend.
The People’s Team, currently with eight players in South Africa, is scheduled to face Mighty Tigers at Kamuzu Stadium on Sunday. Meanwhile, the Nomads—who have six players away with the national squad—will meet Kamuzu Barracks at Champions Stadium in Mponela on Saturday.
Elsewhere, Saturday’s action will see Ekhaya hosting Creck Sporting Club at Kamuzu Stadium, and Civil Service United welcoming MAFCO at home. Sunday’s line-up features Moyale clashing with Chitipa United at Rumphi Stadium, Karonga United hosting Mzuzu City Hammers, Dedza Dynamos facing Songwe Border United at home, and Blue Eagles taking on Silver Strikers at Nankhaka. Matchweek 10 wraps up on Wednesday with the Mzuzu derby, as Moyale battle Mzuzu City.
