Goalkeeper Ganizani Banda has been named FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Reserves’ HTD Player of the Month for October, honoured for his consistency, leadership, and composure throughout a demanding run of fixtures.
The Reserves played four matches in October, recording one win, two draws, and one defeat. Banda featured in three of those fixtures and kept two clean sheets, playing a vital role in maintaining stability during a period defined by tight scorelines and defensive discipline.
Banda’s standout performances came in the 1-0 victory over The Boys, where his command of the penalty area and late-game interventions preserved the win, and in the goalless draw away to Ekhaya Reserves, where he produced two crucial saves to deny the hosts and secure a valuable point.
His only concession of the month came in the 2-0 defeat to Nsanje United, but even in that fixture, he made several key saves that kept Bullets within reach for much of the encounter.
By the end of October, Bullets had scored two goals, conceded three, and recorded two clean sheets — both credited to Banda’s efforts.
Beyond the statistics, the young shot-stopper stood out for his leadership at the back, vocal organisation of the defence, and improved distribution under pressure. His ability to initiate quick counterattacks and remain composed in high-intensity moments contributed significantly to the team’s overall structure.
Banda’s October performances not only earn him individual recognition but also highlight his growing importance in Heston Munthali’s squad as the Reserves aim to build momentum in the coming weeks.
Congratulations to Ganizani Banda — your October HTD Player of the Month!
