Nyasa Big Bullets FC in partnership with Hubertus Clausius have introduced ‘Maule Player of the Month’, to be awarded to outstanding players monthly as voted by fans through our 441 SMS platform.

This was disclosed during a joint press conference the club and the insurance brokers held on Wednesday at Bullets offices in Blantyre.

Club Chief Administrative Officer, Albert Chigoga, said the monthly award, which will see the deserved player taking home K100,000 and a trophy courtesy of Hubertus Clausius, has been introduced to motivate players.

“We have introduced this monthly award to motivate the players so that they can perform exceptionally well to influence overall performance of the team in both the league and other competitions.

“This will also promote products and services of Hurbetus Clausius through football as a whole and Nyasa Big Bullets games in particular,” he explained.

Each month, an internal committee at the club will be nominating four players and using the 441 SMS platform voters will choose the best performer. Each SMS will cost K50.

Chigoga also disclosed that voters will also stand a chance to win prizes like golf shirts courtesy of Hubertus and matchday VIP tickets for Bullets home games.

“One person can send as many messages to 441 in order to increase their chances of winning a golf shirt,” he said.

Hubertus Clausius Malawi Financial Director, Malinda Chinyama, encouraged Bullets supporters to welcome the development, saying there is a portion for the club in any payment made to the insurance broker for their services.

“We need to encourage the supporters to support this initiative because any amount paid to Hubertus Clausius has a portion that will go to the club. On the other hand, we are really excited to partner the club to introduce this initiative.

“This is also a two way thing because we will also be recognizing top five supporters by giving them t-shirts and complementary tickets because we know how important a supporter is to the club,” said Chinyama.
