Nyasa Big Bullets host MAFCO FC in the TNM Super League at Kamuzu Stadium this afternoon and coach Kalisto Pasuwa has made a number of changes to the team that faced AmaZulu FC in the CAF Champions League on Saturday.
Precious Phiri, Blessings Mpokera and Yamikani Fodya have all started at the back as Sankhani Mkandawire and Gomegzani Chirwa are out due to injury and illness, respectively.
Fodya returns after missing the CAF Champions League second leg encounter due to suspension after picking a straight red card in Durban.
In midfield, Chimango Kayira starts on the bench as Pasuwa has opted for Henry Kabichi as the only holding midfielder, with captain Chimwemwe Idana and Bright Munthali will play as twin numbers 10s, behind Babatunde Adepoju, Hassan Kajoke and Zicco Mkanda, who has come in to lead attack.
In the previous match, Babatunde played as a number 9 while Hassan Kajoke played on the left side of the front three that had McFallen Mgwira operating on the right before he was substituted.
Babatunde has been handed his Super League debut for Bullets in this afternoon’s tie.
The People’s Team could not feature the striker in previous league fixtures after his move from Mighty Wanderers in July as he was yet to be cleared by the Super League of Malawi through the Football Association of Malawi.
The Nigerian was only available for international football, hence playing in the CECAFA Kagame Cup and the CAF Champions League.
