Wedson Nyirenda has named the FCB Nyasa Big Bullets starting XI for this afternoon’s FDH Bank Premiership match against Chitipa United at Mpira Stadium.
Bullets are seeking a return to winning ways following our first league defeat of the season against Goshen City Dedza Dynamos a fortnight ago.
The People’s Team head into Matchweek 12 fourth in the standings with 20 points, two behind leaders Mighty Wanderers.
Nyirenda has made three changes to the side that started at Dedza Stadium, with Yankho Singo, Blessings Mpokera and Prince Chiumia replacing Maxwell Phodo, Henry Chiwaya and Andrew Jovinala.
Singo makes his first start since May and his first under Nyirenda.
Mpokera returns from injury to captain the side, while Chiumia is also back in the starting lineup after recovering from a groin problem.
Jovinala misses the encounter after sustaining a cut during our previous league outing, while Phodo is named among the substitutes.
Innocent Nyasulu starts in goal behind a back four of Yamikani Mologeni, Mpokera, Emmanuel Kaunga and Chiumia.
Singo joins Chawanangwa Gumbo and Wongani Lungu in midfield, while Peter Banda and Clever Kalambo provide support for Ephraim Kondowe in attack.
Among Nyirenda’s options from the bench is Kondwani Tebulo, who could make his competitive first-team debut following his recent promotion from Bullets Reserves.
Goalkeeper McLean Mwale is joined among the substitutes by Edward Thengo, Tebulo, Frank Willard, Madalitso Safuli, Sean McBrams, Misheck Billiat, Phodo and Dastan Banda.
