FCB Nyasa Big Bullets will return to Lilongwe on Saturday for an FDH Bank Premiership encounter against Blue Eagles at Civo Stadium.
Ahead of the contest, we take a closer look at the officials appointed to oversee the encounter.
The officiating panel features a blend of experienced officials and new faces, with several members of the team having previously overseen Bullets fixtures in recent seasons.
Alfred Chilinda, Referee
Alfred Chilinda will lead the officiating team for Saturday’s encounter.
He will be assisted by Samuel Fudzulani and Yohane Chiutika, while Ibrahim Mussah has been named fourth official for the fixture. Boswell Msango will serve as the match assessor.
Saturday’s appointment will mark Chilinda’s 11th Bullets involvement, having previously handled matches involving The People’s Team both as a centre referee and fourth official.
The Lilongwe-based referee has taken charge of seven matches involving The People’s Team as centre referee and served as fourth official on three occasions.
His most recent Bullets appointment came in November last year when The People’s Team suffered a 2-0 away defeat to Creck Sporting Club in the league at Aubrey Dimba Stadium in Mchinji.
Samuel Fudzulani, Assistant Referee 1
Fudzulani’s most recent Bullets appointment came in February when he served as second assistant referee during The People’s Team’s Castel Challenge Cup semifinal victory over Mzuzu City Hammers at Kamuzu Stadium.
The fixture was his fourth involvement in a match involving The People’s Team during the 2025 campaign, with his appointments that season also including the Blantyre derby against Mighty Wanderers.
Yohane Chiutika, Assistant Referee 2
Chiutika is also among the assistant referees who have regularly officiated Bullets fixtures over the past three seasons.
Last campaign, he was involved in five of The People’s Team’s matches, including the Castel Challenge Cup quarterfinal clash against Mighty Tigers in January.
Ibrahim Mussah, Fourth Official
Saturday’s fixture will mark Mussah’s first involvement in a match involving The People’s Team.
Boswell Msango, Match Assessor
Msango will be overseeing his fourth match involving The People’s Team since first being assigned to Bullets fixtures in 2023.
His most recent appointment came in November 2024 when Bullets faced Kamuzu Barracks in the Airtel Top 8 semifinals at Bingu National Stadium.
