Match Officials: Bullets vs Civil Service United

Gift Chicco has been appointed to referee FCB Nyasa Big Bullets’ FDH Bank Premiership meeting with Civil Service United at Mpira Stadium on Saturday.

He will be assisted by Sibusiso Sibande and Limbani Mussa as First and Second Assistant Referee respectively. Zebron Lengani is the Fourth Official, with Maxwell Mtonga appointed Match Assessor.

Wedson Nyirenda’s men return to Chiwembe with 36 points from 17 matches following Sunday’s 3-0 victory over MAFCO in Lilongwe. Saturday’s 15:00 kick-off sees Bullets chasing a third successive win in the second round of the 2026/27 campaign.

Gift Chicco, Referee

Chicco returns to a Bullets fixture on Saturday, a year after taking charge of our FDH Bank Cup quarter-final against Kamuzu Barracks in October 2025.

The experienced referee will oversee his first match involving Nyirenda’s men this campaign, having already handled four league encounters, including Mighty Wanderers against Silver Strikers.

He has also served twice as Fourth Official, most recently in Sunday’s meeting between Red Lions and Ekhaya at Zomba Stadium.

Saturday will be his seventh league assignment of the season and fifth in the centre.

Sibusiso Sibande, Assistant Referee 1

Sibande returns to a Bullets fixture for the first time since May’s 2-1 derby victory over Mighty Wanderers at Bingu National Stadium, where he performed the same role.

He has received six league appointments this season, four as First Assistant Referee and two as Second Assistant Referee.

His latest assignment was Ekhaya’s meeting with Kamuzu Barracks at Mpira Stadium on the opening weekend of the second round.

Saturday will be his seventh league appointment and fifth as First Assistant Referee.

Limbani Mussa, Assistant Referee 2

Mussa joins the officiating team for his first Bullets fixture of the campaign.

His two previous league assignments came at Zomba Stadium, where he served as Second Assistant Referee for Red Lions’ matches against Chitipa United and Moyale Barracks.

Chicco also refereed the Moyale encounter, with the pair set to work together again at Mpira.

Saturday will be Mussa’s third league appointment, all as Second Assistant Referee.

Zebron Lengani, Fourth Official

Lengani was in charge when Bullets defeated Chitipa United 2-0 at Mpira Stadium in August.

He returns as Fourth Official after seven league assignments this campaign, comprising five matches as referee and two as Fourth Official.

His most recent appointment was in the centre for Ekhaya against Kamuzu Barracks at Mpira.

The Civil fixture will be his eighth league assignment and second involvement with Bullets this season.

Maxwell Mtonga, Match Assessor

Mtonga returns for his third Bullets appointment of the campaign, with his previous two also coming at Mpira Stadium.

He assessed our 2-0 league victory over Creck Sporting Club in July and the Airtel Top 8 quarter-final second leg against Ekhaya a week later.

His league record also includes Ekhaya’s meeting with Moyale Barracks in May, making Saturday his third Premiership assignment as Match Assessor.
