The Reserves and Under-19s secured important victories over the weekend, while the First Team returned to training and the Women’s Team prepare for their long-awaited championship return.
It was a productive weekend across the Bullets family, with the Reserves and Under-19s both picking up victories as the First Team resumed preparations for the second round of the FDH Bank Premiership.
The Reserves produced the biggest result, putting four past Mighty Wanderers Reserves in the Blantyre mini-derby, while the Under-19s left it late to overcome Brothers In Arms.
Meanwhile, attention now turns to the Women’s Team, who will finally begin their NBM Women’s Championship campaign this weekend.

First Team
The First Team returned to training this week following a one-week break after completing the first round of the 2026-27 FDH Bank Premiership campaign.
Wedson Nyirenda’s side finished the opening half of the campaign with 30 points from 15 matches and will use the coming weeks to build towards the second round, scheduled to begin on 10 October.
The squad will continue its preparations during the international window as the team looks to build on a strong first-round finish ahead of the second half of the campaign.
Reserves
Bullets Reserves produced a commanding display in the Blantyre mini-derby, putting four past Mighty Wanderers Reserves at Kamuzu Stadium on Saturday.
Enos Hendeman scored twice in the first half before captain Francis Malikebu added a third shortly after the restart, with Jazilu Bannet completing the scoring to seal a comprehensive victory.
The result strengthened the Reserves’ position near the top of the SRFA FINCA Region Division One standings ahead of their final outstanding first-round fixture against The Boyz.
Under-19
Bullets Under-19 showed their resilience against Brothers In Arms, taking the lead through Chawanangwa Mhango before Josephy Jimu restored parity.
With the contest heading towards a draw, Dickson Kameza struck in the closing stages to secure all three points for Yamikani Fodya’s side.
The victory provides another boost to the young Bullets as they continue their FCB Katswiri Under-19 League campaign.
Women
After a long wait, the Women’s Team will finally begin their NBM Women’s Championship campaign this weekend when they face Chitoliro Heroines at Mpira Stadium on Saturday.
The Maule Ladies will kick off at 12:00 against the championship debutants, who enter the national league in its second season.
Following their fourth-place finish in the Mayor’s Bonanza, the Maule Ladies will now look to make a strong start to their championship campaign.
