Maziya makes Malawi U17 provisional squad

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Under-19 defender Joel Maziya has been included in Malawi’s 44-member provisional squad for the TotalEnergies U17 Africa Cup of Nations – COSAFA Qualifier, set for September 11–20 in Harare, Zimbabwe.

Camp Starts This Week

The junior Flames, led by former Bullets Reserves head coach Enos Chatama, are set to go into camp at Mpira Village in Blantyre on Thursday, with preparations beginning on Friday, 22 August. Chatama has retained 11 players from last year’s squad that featured at the Johannesburg edition.

Bullets Pride

Maziya’s selection is another proud moment for the Bullets Youth set-up, highlighting the club’s commitment to developing young talent for the national stage. The defender has been a standout performer in the Blantyre District Youth Football League and will now compete for a place in the final squad to travel to Zimbabwe.

Malawi have been drawn in Group B alongside South Africa, Madagascar, and Zambia, setting up a highly competitive qualifying campaign.
