FCB Nyasa Big Bullets have added Zambian coach Donewell Yobe to Wedson Nyirenda’s First Team backroom staff as Fitness and Strikers Trainer.
Yobe will have a key role in the conditioning of the First Team squad while also working closely with the forwards.
The 43-year-old holds a CAF B Coaching Diploma alongside further qualifications in football science, fitness and performance.
He had been part of Nyirenda’s plans for his technical team since the head coach arrived at Bullets in June.
His move to Malawi, however, had to wait until the completion of his duties with the Zambia Women’s National Team at the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2026.
Yobe arrives with experience across club and international football, having combined fitness and performance work with a range of coaching responsibilities.
His recent assignments include FC Leopards and the Zambia Women’s National Team, while he has previously worked with Kansanshi Dynamos, Napsa Stars and Zambia Under-20.
His specialist work with the Bullets front line will also draw on his own experience as a striker.
During his playing career, Yobe represented Lusaka Dynamos and ZESCO United before moving to Finland with AC Oulu. He later returned to Zambia to play for Napsa Stars, where he also served as captain.
He finished as AC Oulu’s leading scorer in three successive seasons from 2008 to 2010 and helped the club earn promotion to Finland’s top flight in 2008.
