Maxwell Phodo has been voted January Men’s HTD Player of the Month following a brilliant month in the Castel Challenge Cup.
Fans had their say through both the club website and the official WhatsApp Channel, and Phodo dominated the voting with 85.1% of the combined votes. Yamikani Mologeni received 8.9%, Chawanangwa Gumbo 3.4%, and Innocent Nyasulu 2.6%.
This marks the first time the club used the WhatsApp Channel for fans to vote, giving supporters a convenient new way to engage and show their support for The People’s Team.

Phodo’s goal-scoring exploits in January were a major factor in his selection. He opened the month with a hat-trick against Songwe Border United and followed it with braces against Ndirande Stars and Mighty Tigers, helping Bullets secure a spot in the semifinals of the Castel Challenge Cup.
The other nominees also impressed throughout the month. Yamikani Mologeni contributed four assists directly to Phodo’s seven goals, while Chawanangwa Gumbo controlled the midfield and set up key chances. Between the posts, Innocent Nyasulu kept two clean sheets in three matches, conceding only once.
