FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Reserves’ SRFA FINCA Division League 1 fixture against The Boyz was postponed on Saturday following the non-arrival of the match officials at Kamuzu Stadium.
The match had been scheduled to kick off at 14:30, with both teams reporting at the venue and completing their pre-match preparations before the postponement was confirmed.
Bullets went into the afternoon second in the standings with 28 points from 13 matches, two behind leaders Ekhaya Reserves. Victory would have taken the young Bullets back to the summit on 31 points.
Henry Kabichi’s side had won seven consecutive league matches heading into Saturday’s encounter, most recently recording a 4-1 victory over Ntopwa FC at Mpira Stadium.
The Boyz, meanwhile, started the weekend in 10th position with 16 points from 13 matches.
Saturday’s other results also tightened the picture around Bullets, with Liberty FC defeating Nyambadwe United 4-1 to move onto 27 points from 14 matches.
The postponement leaves Bullets second on 28 points from 13 games, two behind Ekhaya and one ahead of third-placed Liberty FC, who have played one match more.
A new date for the fixture will be communicated once confirmed by the SRFA.
