Bullets Reserves target fourth straight win

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Reserves return to Kamuzu Stadium on Saturday afternoon to face Zingwangwa United in the SRFA FINCA Division One League, aiming to extend their winning streak to four matches.

Henry Kabichi’s side have won each of their last three league outings, including a commanding 5-1 victory over Chilomoni FC last weekend that lifted the young Bullets into the top four.

Standing in their way are a Zingwangwa United side who arrive after a 1-1 draw with Nyambadwe United and will be eager to turn a point into three as they look to climb the standings.

Last season’s meetings produced one win and one draw for Bullets Reserves. The first encounter ended 1-1 before the young Bullets secured a convincing 3-0 victory in the reverse fixture.

Despite their impressive run, Kabichi insists his players must remain fully focused as they seek to maintain the standards that have fuelled their recent resurgence.

“We are coming from a very good performance and result against Chilomoni FC, which has given the boys confidence, but we know that every game presents a different challenge. We cannot afford to relax because Zingwangwa United are a good side capable of causing problems.

“Our focus has been on preparing well throughout the week, correcting the few mistakes we noticed in the previous match and improving in every department. The players have responded well in training, and we are looking forward to another competitive game.”

For the Bullets Reserves head coach, consistency in attitude, discipline and application will be key if his side are to keep their momentum going.

“Our objective is to maintain our winning momentum and continue collecting points. If we approach the game with the right attitude, work hard for each other and remain disciplined, I believe we have a good opportunity to get another positive result in front of our supporters.”

Kick-off is at 14:30 at Kamuzu Stadium as Bullets Reserves look to make it four league wins in a row and strengthen their place in the SRFA FINCA Division One League’s top four.
