FCB Nyasa Big Bullets is delighted to unveil the addition of three new players, joining the club from Sporting CP.
Matthews Nkunika, a defensive midfielder; Mtende Stago, a center-back; and Kondwani Chaula, a striker, have each signed four-year contracts and will bolster our reserves team coming from the Northern Region Football League Premier Division side.
20-year-old Nkunika, who sees this as the realization of a lifelong ambition to join Bullets, expressed his joy and vowed to give his all to proudly represent the club through our second men’s team.
“I’m extremely happy to officially join this club. Playing for Bullets has always been a dream of mine. Seeing players like Patrick Mwaungulu, Wongani Lungu, and Chikumbutso Salima succeed here, especially coming from the North like me, inspired me to keep pushing. Now that I’m here, I’ll give my all to earn a spot in the main team,” he told club media.
Stago, 19, also expressed his gratitude and excitement about signing for The People’s Team, viewing it as a step forward in his career.
“I’m excited to be part of this club, the biggest in Malawi. Joining Bullets gives me a platform to elevate my game to the next level. I’ll dedicate myself to working hard and striving for excellence so I can grow as a footballer,” he stated.
Chaula, 22, also shared his enthusiasm about joining the club.
“I’m delighted to be here and to play for this club. The atmosphere is so welcoming—it already feels like home. I’ll commit to working extra hard to contribute to the team’s success, and I’m eager to begin this new chapter with Bullets,” he shared.
Heston Munthali, our reserves head coach, praised the trio for their performances during a three-week trial period.
“We’ve signed these players because of their exceptional talent. They stood out during trials, and we needed reinforcements after several players moved to the first team and other clubs. These new additions will strengthen the squad as we continue to develop talent for the senior team,” he explained.
