The 2025/26 ThumbsUp Southern Region Football League will now commence on a new date.
Originally set for April 26, the Premier Division’s new season will officially begin on May 3, following an announcement from the Southern Region Football Association.
“The rescheduling of the launch has been necessitated in order to accommodate some equally important assignments involving some stakeholders falling on the same date as the launch day,” communicated the SRFA. “However, venue and teams to feature on the launch day remain the same.”
The opening match will see FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Reserves face off against FOMO Reserves at Mulanje Park Stadium.
This fixture will usher in a fresh chapter for the Bullets Reserves, now under the stewardship of Heston Munthali, who took over leadership of our Team B in February after Enos Chatama’s nearly decade-long tenure as head coach.
Entering the new season, Bullets Reserves are determined to reclaim the regional Premier Division trophy they last lifted in 2022, finishing third in the 2023 and 2024 campaigns.
