The Super League of Malawi has confirmed the gate charges for the 2026/27 season, outlining a three-tier pricing structure that will apply across all FDH Bank Premiership matches.
The new framework sees matches grouped into Category A, B and C, with pricing determined by the profile of the teams involved.
Category A matches will attract a gate fee of MK7,000, while Category B fixtures are set at MK5,000 and Category C at MK4,000.
Understanding the Ticket Categories
Category A features the league’s top-profile sides, including FCB Nyasa Big Bullets, Mighty Wanderers and Silver Strikers, whose fixtures are expected to draw the highest attendances.
Category B includes Blue Eagles, Civil Service United, Karonga United, Ekhaya FC, Creck Sporting, Moyale Barracks and Kamuzu Barracks.
Category C comprises Chitipa United, Goshen City Dedza Dynamos, MAFCO FC, Red Lions, Mitundu Baptist FC and Masters FC.
The classification model continues to shape matchday planning for clubs and supporters alike, with high-profile fixtures such as derbies and key title contests falling under the premium tier.
Fixture Categories: Bullets’ Next Five Matches
For Bullets supporters, the new structure provides a clear guide to pricing across the opening run of fixtures.
The season opener away to Civil Service United at Civo Stadium on Saturday, 25 April, falls under Category B.
The first home match against MAFCO FC on Sunday, 3 May, will be played in Mwanza and is classified as Category C.
The Blantyre derby against Mighty Wanderers on Saturday, 9 May, carries Category A billing, with the venue subject to confirmation following the restriction on Kamuzu Stadium.
The Football Association of Malawi Club Licensing First Instance Body did not approve Kamuzu Stadium to host elite matches for the 2026/27 season after the facility was found not to meet required safety and infrastructure standards under club licensing regulations.
The restriction affects Bullets, Wanderers and Ekhaya FC—Blantyre’s three top-flight sides that use Kamuzu Stadium as their home ground.
For the 2026/27 campaign, The People’s Team had designated Kamuzu Stadium as its primary home venue, with Joyce Chitsulo Stadium in Mwanza as the second home ground and Bingu National Stadium as the third home venue.
A home assignment against Red Lions on Saturday, 16 May, will also be played in Mwanza and falls under Category C.
The trip to face Blue Eagles at Nankhaka Stadium on Saturday, 23 May, returns to Category B.
Looking Ahead
Following Saturday’s 1-0 loss to the Nomads in the NBS Bank Charity Shield at Bingu National Stadium, Maule now turn their focus to the league opener away to Civil Service United at Civo Stadium this weekend.
