After a week-long break, the TNM Super League is set to resume this weekend, with FCB Nyasa Big Bullets welcoming Mighty Tigers to Kamuzu Stadium on Sunday.
League action was put on hold to accommodate the FIFA international match window, which concludes today.
This break also coincided with Malawi’s participation in the 2025 Hollywoodbets COSAFA Senior Challenge Cup in South Africa—a tournament that kicked off on June 4 and will conclude on June 15.
On Monday, the Super League of Malawi unveiled the Week 10 fixtures, preparing for the possibility of an early exit by the Flames, who currently sit at the bottom of Group B with just one point after a 1-0 defeat to Lesotho and a goalless draw against Namibia.
To advance, Malawi must secure at least a 5-0 win over group leaders Angola this afternoon and also hope for a draw between Lesotho and Namibia—a result that could force SULOM to revise this weekend’s schedule.
However, if Kalisto Pasuwa’s side falls short, the national team will return home, and the original Week 10 fixtures will go ahead as planned.
The People’s Team, leading the league with 18 points, will aim to rebound from the narrow 1-0 loss in the Blantyre derby to second-placed Mighty Wanderers, who trail by just two points on 16.
Tigers, currently sitting in 10th place with 10 points, will face Peter Mponda’s squad after last Tuesday’s 1-1 draw against Moyale Barracks—a team Bullets edged 2-1 in a friendly during the break.
An exciting contest awaits against Leo Mpulura’s side, known for providing a stern test to Bullets, so secure your tickets early to avoid missing out.
