Bullets vs Tigers scheduled for 21 September

Share

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets’ tight schedule this campaign continues with our home match against Mighty Tigers in the TNM Super League slated for Thursday next week at Kamuzu Stadium.

The fixture was initially scheduled for 26 August but was pushed forward due to Bullets’ CAF Champions League tie against Dragon FC in Lilongwe the following day.

On Tuesday, the Super League of Malawi released the revised schedule for the remaining fixtures in the second round, with The People’s Team hosting Kau Kau on Thursday afternoon.

Bullets were not involved in Matchweeks 20 and 21 due to the Malawi national team commitments after we contributed seven first-team players to the squad that drew 2-2 against Guinea in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The match against Tigers at Kamuzu Stadium will be played four days after our CAF Champions League second preliminary round first leg tie against TP Mazembe of the Democratic Republic of Congo at the Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe this Sunday.

72 hours later, Bullets will face Dedza Dynamos in the semi-finals of the FDH Bank Cup at Kamuzu Stadium, before travelling to the DRC for the CAF Champions League second preliminary round return leg slated for 30 September in Lubumbashi.

The Malawi champions, the only Malawian side playing in both domestic and international competitions this campaign, have played 18 TNM Super League games while the rest of the teams have already honoured 19-22 fixtures.

Kalisto Pasuwa’s men are second on the Super League standings with 37 points, two below Chitipa United who are top having played 21 games, and one above our rivals Mighty Mukuru Wanderers who have played a game more than us.

The People’s Team will continue with the busy calendar as eleven TNM Super League fixtures will be awaiting to close the 2023 campaign, on top of the FDH Bank Cup, depending on the outing of the semifinal tie against Dedza, as well as the upcoming Castel Challenge Cup and Airtel Top 8.
