Bullets Women drawn against Ntopwa in National Championship

A mouth-watering clash awaits as FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Women have been drawn against city rivals Kukoma Ntopwa Women in the 2024 Goshen-FAM National Women’s Championship quarterfinals.

This was confirmed during the draw conducted on Saturday at the Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe, pairing our women’s team with another Southern Region League side.

The national phase of the Malawian women’s football league will be staged at the Mpira Stadium in Blantyre from 17-22 March.

Top two teams from the 2024 Goshen-FAM Regional Leagues plus the top two teams from the play-offs involving third-placed teams from the regions will battle out for the prestigious national trophy.

Maggie Chombo’s side reached the national stage after winning the Southern Region League unbeaten with 50 points. They registered 16 wins and two draws, scoring 148 goals and conceding nine.

Bullets, who reclaimed the regional league from Ntopwa, will be looking for redemption after a disappointing exit in last year’s edition of the tournament after we suffered a heavy 4-1 defeat to MDF Lioness in Lilongwe.
