Bullets Women to play Hotspurs before Saturday’s Airtel Top 8 clash

The battle for the FAM Women’s Football Southern Region League championship continues as Nyasa Big Bullets Women are set to host Blantyre Hotspurs at Kamuzu Stadium on Saturday.

The game is scheduled to kick off at 11 am, just three-and-a-half hours before the Airtel Top 8 semi-final clash between Nyasa Big Bullets men’s first team and Silver Strikers.

Bullets Women will be going into Saturday’s game coming from a 5-1 win over Evirom last weekend, while their opponents suffered a 3-0 loss to Chikwawa Queens.

Maggie Chombo’s ladies continue dominating the league as they sit at the summit of the eight-team member table with 27 points from nine games and have scored 90 goals.

Blantyre Hotspurs are bottom of the standings with three points from the same number of games as their Saturday opposition and have scored seven goals while conceding 43.

It promises to be a fun ride for our women who will be playing on the artificial surface on Saturday after flexing Hotspurs 0-14 away at the BAT Ground in the reverse fixture on 30 October.
