FCB U-20 Preview: Bullets Youth vs Alphasolft Academy

Share

Off the back of their triumph in the Blantyre derby on the opening day of the 2022 First Capital Bank U-20 League, Nyasa Big Bullets Youth will this Saturday morning play against Aphalsoft Academy at the BAT Ground.

Aphalsoft Academy only made their debut in the youth league in the previous season and managed to assert their place as they finished on 12th position.

Facing Bullets Youth in the first leg last season, Aphalsoft stunningly emerged 3-1 winners. However, the young Bullets took revenge in the second leg with an emphatic 4-0 victory.

As the two teams meet this weekend, Aphalsoft Academy will look to register their first win this season after their 1-1 draw against CC Stars in their opener while Bullets Youth will be hoping for a second straight win of the season.

Bullets Youth duo of youngsters, goalkeeper Sherif Swadick, who traveled with the senior team to Lilongwe for Saturday’s Nzika Foundation charity match against Silver Strikers, and new striker Chikumbutso Bello, who also scored on his league debut last weekend but is now nursing a knee injury, will be missing in action in this tie.

Head coach for the youth team, Autry Kalulu, expressed high hopes of emerging victorious on Saturday.

“We are very much prepared for the game tomorrow. We are expecting a tough game because each and every team playing against us comes hard and with the intent to win. We cannot look at last season’s results in this fixture as the game on Saturday will be completely a different one,” he told club media on Friday.
