Inside Bullets this week

Share

We are set for another week of action as we enter Matchweek 2 of the new TNM Super League campaign.

Maule will return to Kamuzu Stadium after three months. We last appeared at the Soccer Mecca on 6 January when we lifted the Airtel Top 8 Cup to complete a historic quadruple-winning 2023 season.

Here is what to expect this week.

Men’s First Team

Kalisto Pasuwa’s men, who opened the league campaign with a 1-1 draw away to Dedza Dynamos after giving away a first-half lead, will welcome Mighty Tigers in their second fixture of the season.

Currently sitting eighth in the standings after Matchweek 1, the defending champions will be hoping to bounce back from last Saturday’s result while looking to remain unbeaten at home in the TNM Super League, having kept that record for three consecutive seasons.

Bullets haven’t lost to the Kau Kau Boys since 2012 and this will give them more confidence heading into this weekend’s tie.

Under 19s

Our developmental team secured a place in the Africa Herbal Mixture Under-19 final after beating Izo-Izo Warriors 2-0 to set up a showdown against Manchester Motors.

The young Bullets will rest to prepare for the final scheduled next week at a venue yet to be announced.

Bullets youth are the defending champions after winning the cup in its inaugural year as they knocked Mighty Wanderers Youth 1-0 last season.

Reserves

Enos Chatama’s boys are preparing for the Thumbs-Up Southern Region Football League which kicks off on 20 April.

The draw for the second division tier will take place on Tuesday at Mpira Village in Chiwembe.

Women

They have been training for the last three months preparing and patiently waiting for the FAM Women’s National Championship games whose dates are yet to be communicated.
