We are going into Matchweek 3 of the TNM Super League this season. FCB Nyasa Big Bullets will be looking to bounce back from another frustrating weekend after dropping points again on Saturday.
The People’s Team will be on the road again as Kalisto Pasuwa’s men will visit the North while Enos Chatama’s boys will head up Central to Mponela.
Let’s look at what to expect this week.
Men’s First Team
After two back-to-back draws, 1-1 against Dedza Dynamos, and 0-0 versus Mighty Tigers, in our opening two games of the league, the defending champions will travel to Karonga to take on Chitipa United on Sunday.
Pasuwa hopes to collect maximum points to keep pace with early set pacers, Silver Strikers, Creck Sporting Club, and Mzuzu City Hammers, who have won their opening two matches of the campaign to be positioned first to third in the standings, respectively.
Reserves
Chatama’s U21s will travel to Mponela to launch the 2024 Champions Cup at Champions Stadium this weekend.
Bullets Reserves will face Mighty Wanderers Reserves as part of the tournament’s launch.
The Champions Cup, won by Wanderers Reserves, will see several teams from all three regions of Malawi competing.
Women
Maggie Chombo’s ladies continue preparations for the FAM Women’s Football National Championship.
Bullets Women will face Central Region champions, MDF Lioness, in the quarterfinals of the competition in Lilongwe next week.
Runners-up in the 2023 Southern Region Women’s Football League, our ladies’ team will be travelling to the Capital searching for a win against a side that had a remarkable run at the regional level.
Under 19s
The defending champions of the African Herbal Mixture Cup will continue preparing for the 2024 final against Manchester Motors on 28 April at Kamuzu Stadium.
Another busy workweek at Bullets, we wish all our teams the best of luck!
