Inside Bullets this week

Share

Buoyant from our success in the just-ended week, Bullets are all set for another busy schedule ahead.

Our Under 19s and the reserves are ready for away midweek encounters on Tuesday and Thursday, respectively.

The first team will also return on the road, travelling to the Capital City for action in the Airtel Top 8.

Our ladies’ team will not play after all Goshen-FAM Women’s Football League games are postponed. This was imposed to allow Malawi uninterrupted preparations for their trip to South Africa for the Hollywoodbets Cosafa Championship, which will kick off on 22 October.

Let’s look at what’s in store for Bullets this week.

TUESDAY

Our youth team, fresh from their hard-fought 1-0 victory over Jimmy Zakazaka Academy in the FCB Katswiri Under-20 League, will travel to Chilomoni Stadium to face CC Stars.

Yamikani Fodya’s boys will be eager to continue winning games and move up the table. They are currently second in the standings with 38 points, two points behind leaders Agumbala FC.

The first-round match between the two teams ended 4-0 in favour of Bullets.

THURSDAY

Our Reserves will travel to Monkey Bay for their ThumbsUp Southern Region Football League assignment against MMF Marine.

Enos Chatama’s side will be on the road after collecting all three points from Sunday’s hard-fought 1-0 victory over Ekhaya United at Kamuzu Stadium.

Our Team B is third in the table with 34 points from 17 games, five points behind log leaders Mighty Mukuru Wanderers Reserves, who have played three games more than their rivals.

The first-round game against the Marines ended 1-1 at Kamuzu Stadium.

SUNDAY

Kalisto Pasuwa’s men will be on the road to Lilongwe for the Airtel Top 8 quarterfinal second-leg tie against Civil Service United at Civo Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The defending champions have a 2-0 lead over the Servants. If we progress to the next round, we will play Chitipa United or Kamuzu Barracks.

Buoyed by our historic 22-1 win over Kumanda All Stars in the Castel Challenge Cup Round of 64 on Saturday, The People’s Team will be eager to continue their winning streak and advance to the semis of the Airtel Top 8.
