Inside Bullets: What’s In Store This Week

With the second round of the 2025 TNM Super League season now in full swing, FCB Nyasa Big Bullets’ fixtures continue to come thick and fast across all fronts.

From top-flight action at Kamuzu Stadium to exciting youth league contests and women’s international duty, here’s a full look at what’s coming up this week across all Bullets teams.

First Team Welcomes Dedza

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets return to TNM Super League action this Saturday with a home fixture against Dedza Dynamos at Kamuzu Stadium.

The People’s Team are back on league duty for the first time since the international break, coming off a dominant 3-0 win over The Boys SFC in the FDH Bank Cup Round of 16.

That result followed three important away victories in the North—against Chilumba Barracks (5-0), Chitipa United (2-0), and Songwe Border United (3-1)—leaving Peter Mponda’s men in top form heading into the weekend.

Now, with momentum firmly on their side, in the 14:30 kickoff Maule will be looking to extend the perfect form and solidify their position at the summit of the standings as the title race intensifies.

Reserves Face Welcome FOMO

Bullets Reserves will host FOMO Reserves on Saturday morning at Kamuzu Stadium in a ThumbsUp Southern Region Football League fixture that will serve as a curtain-raiser to the senior team’s TNM Super League clash later in the day.

The Reserves are targeting a strong start to the second round and will be aiming to complete a double over FOMO, having edged them 1-0 in the opening match of the campaign.

While Bullets’ second-round opener was postponed, FOMO began theirs with a 1-1 draw against Chilobwe United. Victory for Bullets would lift them into third place on the table, while a win for FOMO could push them into the top ten.

Kick-off is set for 11:00 AM.

Under-19s Face Ekhaya

Earlier on Saturday morning, the Bullets Under-19 side will face Ekhaya Youth at 09:30 AM, also at Kamuzu Stadium.

The two sides are level on 22 points in the Blantyre District Youth Football League after 12 matches, with only goal difference separating them—Ekhaya sitting second while Bullets Under-19 are third.

The match promises to be a tight contest as both teams look to strengthen their position in the title race.

Women on Break Due to National Team Duties

Our Women’s Team is currently on a break following national team commitments as two Bullets players are part of the Malawi Under-20 squad participating in the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.

The young Scorchers defeated hosts South Sudan 2-0 in the first leg of the second preliminary round on Tuesday and will remain in Juba for the return fixture this Friday, as Bingu National Stadium is unavailable due to the CAF Champions League fixture involving Silver Strikers and Madagascar’s Elgeco Plus FC.

Don’t miss a moment of the action this week.
