FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Women’s midfielders Zainab Kapanda and Tendai Sani have been named in Malawi’s final squad to face Zambia.
The Scorchers’ head coach Lovemore Fazili on Monday named a 23-member squad for the forthcoming friendly matches against the Copper Queens in Lusaka.
The two FIFA-sanctioned international friendly games will be played at Woodlands Stadium on Saturday, 22 February, and Tuesday, 25 February.
Kapanda finds her way back into the Scorchers team for the first time after being sidelined for two years due to a devastating knee injury.
But goalkeeper Bridget Malemia, who had received a late call-up to join the national team training for the first time, did not make the final list following the return of MDF Lioness shot-stopper Yamikani Kaonga, who had earlier left the camp to attend to personal issues.
