Honest Maulana will take charge of FCB Nyasa Big Bullets’ TNM Super League match against Chitipa United at Kamuzu Stadium this Sunday.
Maulana will handle his first-ever Bullets match as the man in the middle after being named to the elite panel of referees for the 2025 season by the Football Association of Malawi Referees Standing Committee in January.
Previously, the Blantyre-based referee has taken part in our games as a fourth official, most recently during last month’s Airtel Top 8 quarterfinal first leg clash against Creck Sporting Club.
He will be supported on Sunday by assistant referees Bernadetta Kwimbira from Zomba and Siyame Chitambo from Mangochi.
Kwimbira, one of Malawi’s most seasoned assistant referees, brings a wealth of experience to the role, having officiated at high-profile events such as the Olympic Games, FIFA Women’s World Cup, Women’s AFCON, and the CAF Champions League.
For Chitambo, an emerging talent among assistant referees, this will be his first time running the line in a Bullets match, although he has already officiated several top-flight league fixtures.
Benson Subiri will serve as the fourth official, with Damson Banda appointed as the Match Assessor.
