Matthews Masamba signs for Bullets

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets is delighted to announce that midfielder Matthews Masamba has joined the club on a three-year contract.

The 22-year-old has joined The People’s Team as a free agent after leaving Mighty Mukuru Wanderers at the end of his one-year loan spell at Bangwe All Stars in December.

He impressed head coach Kalisto Pasuwa during his two-week trial with the 2023 quadruple winners.

Masamba told club media: “I am very excited to join Bullets. Every player dreams of playing for such a club with a history of winning trophies. I can’t wait to get started and I believe this is where I will further my career to greater heights.

“The weeks I spent here doing trials gave me the courage to keep pushing and I have a clear picture of what is expected of me. Pasuwa has been teaching me where to improve and how to do it and this is something that will improve my game going forward.

“I have also been welcomed well by my new teammates, who made me feel at home the moment I arrived. We travelled to Mponela where I played two games and the feeling of playing for this team was special. I am looking forward to helping the team continue winning trophies because I also want to be part of the history.”

Masamba is Pasuwa’s fourth signing in the ongoing domestic transfer window as he is preparing his team ahead of the 2024 season, which kicks off next week with the NBS Bank Charity Shield match against Silver Strikers at Bingu National Stadium.

He joins Innocent Nyasulu, Lloyd Aaron and Babatunde Adepoju as new additions to The People’s Team.
